The group of 28 participants was divided in two groups in order to give each participant personal feedback. The programme started with Security Awareness, followed by Emergency First Response and Dealing with Aggression.
The following day the group came together to go into more detail on stress and trauma. A topic that is important for the participants both on a professional and personal level. A hostage simulation and a debriefing module were also part of the training. The last day was spend on Ammunition Awareness and Vehicle Procedures. Car accidents are still a risk when working in the field. We were happy this topic was included in the training.
Looking back at this four-day HEAT course we can conclude that the participants are much more aware now of the do’s and don’ts when working and travelling in the field. The participants are better prepared and feel more self secure when going on their next field trip!
