Masterclass Family Support & Strategic Crisis Management Workshop

On Monday January 29, 2024, Sue Williams QPM gave a Masterclass Family Support to participants from NGOs, government, and academia.

This session, organised by CSD – Centre for Safety and Development, gave insight into how to cooperate with family members of a crisis victim.

Families can make or break your response to a crisis and are of vital importance.

Sue shared her vast experience, using real-life cases. The journey went from the deserts of Iraq to a family in Liverpool, and from Buckingham Palace to remote locations in Mali. All with relevant, down-to-earth advice.

Sue makes a strong case for the support of local/national families. These families are often overlooked and need a tailor-made approach to make sure they receive the right care.

On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, we organized a workshop for NGO CEOs and Board Members together with Partos. The topic at hand was strategic Crisis management.

The workshop focussed on the strategic oversight of managing a crisis. The meeting addressed the preparation as well as the actions required during and after a response. it was centered on the rationale behind critical decision-making. In a safe environment, the workshop concluded with the opportunity to air difficult questions and share best practices.

We are looking forward to the next Family Support Masterclass & Strategic Crisis Management Workshop.
